Singapore Army's new Vocational Obstacle Course

The Balancing Log now has steps at the end and the Low Ramp is a gradual terrace. What happened to the barbed wire coils that used to garnish the sand pit bottom of the Low Ramp?

More ways to reduce the likelihood of injuries from SOC? I had a number of acquaintances who were injured (torn ligaments, sprained ankles, etc.) from bad landings...

I flew off a balance beam and injured my back from wood that chipped off (it rotted from within), so I still shudder seeing it there.

Interestingly enough, 9pm news said that the obstacles are now cleared as a team, and done with body armour on. That sure ups the ante.

This looks awesome - Can't wait for the PTIs to set the new record for this obstacle course. I think legend has it that the record timing (unbeaten) for SOC came from a SISPEC PTI - 5 min 30 sec.

I think the Vocation obstacle course takes the cake with Infantrymen needing to stretcher somebody after completing the obstacles within a certain timing.

@FinalFive

Think there was a Cdo encik by the pseudo name of 'lung-less' who had a better timing?

@Piper

I think if it's a better timing - It cannot be a CDO Encik. It is an SOF Encik...

They've already added steps to the Balancing Log in the current SOC.

IS there still the 70O metre run down and the last 700m finishing run?
